Our third litter finally arrived June 29th. Holly had 2 little girls! One was extremely tiny at 2.4oz! The good news is that she is thriving and finally broke 4oz! She has a great appetite and great sucking instinct.
In the meantime-Glory's pups are doing great-one smaller girl looks like she may stay the smallest of all the pups! Glory is a great mom. Dixie is taking very good care of her kids and is very attentive-when not in her pen with them, she prefers to lay on the cool tile next to them!
The next 2 weeks or so will be the "calmer" time of raising the pups. We just have to clean pens once or twice a day, be sure the girls have fresh water and food at all times, feed everyone the supplemental chicken (that we boil and chop for them) be sure everyone gets their daily calcium, rotate all the girls in and out of their pens for potty time and exercise, weight the pups every couple of days and be sure they get their worming meds on schedule... Did I say calmer??? Well, once the pups get their land legs, and start walking around the house-things get really interesting! Stay tuned for updates!
